The term "eating your own dog food" means using your company's own products and services. At CrossTech Media, we just took that to heart by launching Project Dogfood, a conversation with our community about what you want from our online presence. So far, it's been interesting.
We built a community platform at Project Dogfood, where we invite you to come and build an account, and join in the conversation. To start, we're covering our New Marketing Summit website and presence. We ask questions of the community on Dogfood, such as, "Should we have a mobile version? Do you want to see blog content here?" And people answer back.
This isn't too far afield from what Dell did with IdeaStorm, where Dell asked its community for ideas and opinions on their product line. It's also like the idea Starbucks Coffee came up with with My Starbucks Idea. In our case, we're learning about our own web presence, and getting some great advice and information from people like you.
If you'd like to participate, swing by Project Dogfood, build a quick account, and dive in. We'd love your perspective. If you have any questions, drop me a line at [email protected]
